Louis Boahene
@louisboahene
Undergraduate molecular biology researcher focused on protein–DNA interactions.
What I'm looking for
I am an undergraduate molecular biology researcher with hands-on experience in protein purification, DNA library construction, and DNA–TF binding assays. I have interned at the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub and contributed to multiple campus research projects with rigorous laboratory technique and data analysis.
My work has produced validated experimental data—expressing and purifying 11 zebrafish transcription factors, generating 11 random DNA libraries for binding studies, and identifying inflammatory proteins in toxicant-exposed mouse liver cells—culminating in symposium presentations and awards. I combine wet-lab skills (e.g., BRAVO automation, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, mammalian cell culture) with computational analysis using Python for data processing and visualization.
I am collaborative, detail-oriented, and committed to conservation and translational toxicology research that links molecular mechanisms to environmental and human health outcomes. I seek opportunities to apply my experimental and analytical strengths toward impactful biological research.
