At the University of Georgia, I supported the start-up of a research laboratory and authored an Animal Use Protocol approved for mouse studies. I also established cancer cell cultures and developed workflows to study cellular senescence and senolytic treatments.
In my research on manganese exposure in drinking water, I designed mouse studies examining overexposure, sex differences, and immune responses. I conducted behavioral testing and tissue analysis, and authored manuscripts highlighting sex-specific effects of manganese neurotoxicity.
I also contributed to research on an immunotherapeutic treatment for Gulf War Illness, analyzing animal behavior and gene expression data. Across my research roles, I’ve worked on parasite drug resistance and pathogen detection, managed laboratory operations, and trained students in research techniques and lab safety.
