Nyambura Kimani

I am a Product Manager and founder with experience across product strategy, technical product management, digital products, enterprise technology, and AI enabled products. My career has consistently involved taking complex or ambiguous problems, understanding the people and business needs behind them, and working with technical teams to turn those problems into practical products and solutions.

As Co Founder and Product Lead at Innovapp Technologies, I built and managed Events Gear, a B2B digital marketplace connecting event organizers with service providers. I owned the product vision, strategy, roadmap, prioritization, customer experience, monetization, and day to day product decisions. I designed and managed a tiered subscription model and worked closely with the technical team throughout development and iteration. The platform grew to approximately 1,200 users.

At Caterpillar Inc., I developed strong experience in enterprise technology delivery and technical product work, including business requirements definition, process mapping, UAT, analytics, documentation, and collaboration with global teams and stakeholders. This experience taught me how to operate within complex technical environments while keeping business needs and users at the center of delivery.

More recently, I founded IQONA, an AI enabled intelligence product focused on helping organizations turn fragmented business information into useful insights and decisions. I have taken the product from an ambiguous problem through discovery, product definition, prototyping, testing, and iteration. I have conducted structured discovery with more than 300 Kenyan SME owners and used those insights to shape product requirements, workflows, and AI use cases.

I also have hands on experience developing AI enabled workflows and prototypes using tools such as Claude, Bolt, Replit, Python, and GitHub. My current interests include AI product development, automation, machine learning, and LLM evaluation, particularly understanding whether AI systems can accurately interpret real world business communication, including code switching, implicit meaning, local terminology, and business context.

I hold two master’s degrees from Illinois State University, in Technology Project Management and Communication, alongside a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Advertising and a diploma in Information Technology. I am particularly interested in opportunities where product strategy, technology, AI, customer needs, and real world problem solving intersect.
