What I'm looking for

I seek research and teaching roles in academia or applied research that value cross-cultural fieldwork, language expertise, and mentorship of students.

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Cultural Anthropology at Boston University (expected March 2026) with deep research and teaching experience on ethics, religion, technology, sex, and gender in Japan and Indonesia. I have conducted and recorded 50+ hours of interviews in Japanese, analyzed Japanese publications, presented at international conferences, and received multiple research fellowships and grants.

I have taught over 500 undergraduates across anthropology courses, served as a teaching and writing fellow, and worked as a freelance interpreter and translator across Jakarta, Tokyo, and New York. My work combines field research, language skills (Indonesian native, academic English, Japanese proficiency, French basics), and practical teaching experience to produce rigorous, culturally informed scholarship and pedagogy.
