What I'm looking for

I'm seeking a healthcare records or health information role where I can support accurate EHR documentation, HIPAA compliance, patient coordination, and efficient medical office operations.

At The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation, I manage patient medical records, referrals, scheduling, intakes, and documentation while protecting confidential health information.

I coordinate with physician offices, hospitals, patients, and internal clinical and administrative teams to obtain missing records and prepare patients for visits. I keep EHR information accurate through careful data entry, scanning, uploading, auditing, and follow-up.

During my medical assistant externship at Dr. Mir Madani at Los Alamitos Medical Center, I recorded vital signs, supported examinations and procedures, collected lab specimens, and assisted with patient education.

I'm continuing my Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management and bring hands-on experience with HIPAA compliance, EHR/EMR systems, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and medical office operations.
