Write evidence-based features and long-form commentary on climate change, inequality, gender, governance, education, and social policy for an independent English newspaper. Focuses on development journalism and underrepresented Global South perspectives.

Conduct comparative policy analysis on financial wellbeing, wealth inequality, housing affordability, and gender-responsive economic policy, translating evidence into recommendations for decision-makers. Author and edit research articles and policy briefs for CAFS and Insights Magazine, and mentor junior researchers to maintain mixed-methods quality.

Conducted and analyzed 30+ multi-sectoral stakeholder KIIs to produce structured evidence and policy narratives for climate finance constraints in Pakistan’s textile value chain. Co-authored an official multi-stakeholder FCDO policy report and developed accessible briefs for public-sector decision-makers.

Led a mixed-methods Political Economy Analysis for WASH governance in Sindh’s flood-prone Badin district using 24 KIIs, 6 FGDs, 2 validation workshops, and 222 surveys to identify sanitation service gaps. Authored an actionable PEA report and conducted multi-country gender and social policy synthesis across fragile contexts and climate adaptation research with World Bank and CGAP.

As Joint Secretary of the Youth Parliament Pakistan secretariat, managed international partnerships and oversaw the YPP blog editorial workflow. Authored the 'Voice of Youth' report based on 422 survey responses and produced policy statements, donor reporting, and advocacy communications for governance and education/economic recovery initiatives.

Collaborated with Stanford University researchers on barriers to safe and environmentally sustainable mobility for women and girls, translating findings into technical and institutional outputs. Produced annual reports, newsletters, brochures, and case studies for donor communications and presented evidence on gender-based violence, SRHR, and women’s economic empowerment in Punjab.

Activities and societies: Applied for and awaiting a decision on distance learning scholarships at SOAS; may participate in SOAS international study tours.

Admitted to an MSc Global Sustainability distance-learning programme at SOAS, designed to balance postgraduate study with full-time professional commitments. The curriculum integrates climate change and sustainability with social policy themes including inequality, poverty, education, gender, and inclusive development.

Completed an MSc in Social Policy & Development at LSE with coursework covering social policy and development, global social policy, children’s rights, international planning, and urbanization in the Global South. Dissertation focused on addressing the gender wage gap in India’s agriculture sector in Andhra Pradesh.

Completed a BSc (Hons) in Economics at Government College University (GCU), Lahore, with training in microeconomics, macroeconomics, international trade and political economy, development economics, public policy, monetary economics, and econometrics. Dissertation examined the impact of persistent jobless growth on world economies.
