Maria Farr

I've spent 15+ years designing, launching, and scaling community-focused programs across nonprofit, research, and education settings. At RTI International, I mediated the post-COVID renewal agreement with NYC Administration for Children's Services, restoring a critical field research partnership.

I design training that prepares field interviewers for sensitive interactions with case workers, agencies, and reluctant respondents, including a self-developed Zoom video series for the NSFG study. At Vassar College's Supported Independent Learning Program, I create college-level lesson plans, supervise teaching assistants, and mentor students planning to study abroad.

At Girls Inc. of Ulster and Dutchess Counties, I built partnerships across five school districts, recruited and trained facilitators, and launched the In Her Voice and Women Through History curricula. I also coached high school students through the Girls Inc. Scholarship process.

My work is grounded in mentoring, facilitation, stakeholder mediation, and turning new initiatives into sustainable programs. Through leadership and board service with Girls Inc., CASADA, UPWIFT, and High Meadow School, I provide governance oversight and strategic input to community organizations.
