Lynda Tierney
@lyndatierney
I create clear digital communications and member campaigns for province-wide education advocacy.
What I'm looking for
At the BC Teachers’ Federation, I coordinate digital communications supporting member engagement, advocacy campaigns, collective bargaining initiatives, and organizational priorities. I create and schedule social content, manage communications projects, and adapt messaging across web, newsletters, speeches, and print.
I’ve coordinated newsletters reaching more than 50,000 members and supported province-wide campaigns including “It Takes a Teacher” and “I Teach, I Vote.” I also edit executive speeches, press releases, reports, bulletins, and other high-profile communications, translating complex policy and labour issues into clear, accessible content.
My background spans communications, copy editing, website content, CRM administration, and executive support. As elected Vice-President of the Teachers’ Federation Employees’ Union, I help represent members, support workplace advocacy, and communicate union information clearly.
