@kiranmunda
Aspiring bioinformatics scientist skilled in Python, R, and genomic analysis.
I am an aspiring bioinformatics scientist with a strong foundation in computational biology, programming (Python, R, Java), and data analysis tools such as Pandas and NumPy. I have applied these skills in academic and internship settings to analyze genomic data and build predictive models.
During a dissertation traineeship at ICAR-CRRI, I conducted bioinformatics-driven haplotype analysis of rice blast resistance genes, integrating phenotypic and genomic SNP data to identify genetic diversity for crop improvement. As a data science intern, I analyzed large datasets using Python and SQL, developed machine learning models, and created interactive visualizations with Matplotlib and Tableau.
I am eager to contribute to research or industry teams that value rigorous data analysis, biological insight, and continuous learning; I bring strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities alongside hands-on experience with bioinformatics tools like BLAST, ClustalW, Biopython, and Galaxy.
