Dedicated Program Officer with a passion for gender-responsive education.
What I'm looking for
I am a dedicated and impact-driven Program Officer with over 5 years of experience managing and coordinating gender-responsive education programs across Uganda. My expertise lies in designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating initiatives that promote equitable access to education for girls. I am passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children, especially girls, through education and empowerment.
Throughout my career, I have successfully designed and led the implementation of the 'Keeping Girls in School' project, benefiting over 10,000 girls in Eastern Uganda. My efforts have included conducting gender audits and developing strategic interventions aligned with Ministry of Education and Sports policies. I have built the capacities of over 150 teachers and 60 community leaders on gender-sensitive pedagogy, and I am proud to have developed a menstrual health program that reached 8,500 adolescent girls in 45 schools.
As an Education Program Coordinator at LIFT HER, I oversaw the implementation of education-in-emergencies projects in post-conflict Eastern Uganda, conducted training for PTAs and school management committees, and spearheaded inclusive education approaches to support girls with disabilities. My work has led to increased school attendance for girls, and I authored a girls’ education toolkit that has been adopted by five district offices.
