SEND professional delivering legally compliant EHCPs and leading case decisions for children and young people.
What I'm looking for
I’m a SEND professional with experience across multiple local authorities, managing complex caseloads for children and young people aged 0–25. I focus on delivering outcomes through legally compliant, evidence-based Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
In my recent roles, I’ve amended EHCPs following annual reviews, drafted “high quality and legally compliant EHCPs using supporting evidence,” and attended multi-agency meetings and panel hearings to present cases for decision making. I also liaise with families and other professionals to ensure support is meaningful and well-coordinated.
Previously, as a Senior SEND Officer, I supervised 8 SEND officers across the 0–13 and 14–25 teams, oversaw supervisions, and supported case officers managing complex cases. I quality assured EHCPs, provided written and verbal feedback, and supported escalation work including Stage 1 complaints—gathering information in preparation for tribunal and attending meetings with multi-agency partners.
Alongside my SEND career, I bring classroom leadership experience as a Class Teacher, including early literacy and phonics leadership, curriculum oversight, safeguarding, and mentoring trainee teachers. That background strengthens how I work with schools, families, and post-16 settings to improve special educational provision and student outcomes.
