At the Water Center at the University of Pennsylvania, I lead the Cobbs Creek research portfolio and originated a community-driven initiative to use predictive modeling to prevent illegal dumping and waterway pollution. I connect the data science team’s model of 311 reports with the program staff who act on its outputs.
I built the ArcGIS dashboard for the Water Research Foundation’s Wet Weather Management Decision Tool and co-designed the study’s multi-criteria decision analysis approach. I also contributed geospatial data and visualizations to the Darby-Cobbs Flood Resiliency Assessment Tool.
My work brings residents, community groups, agencies, universities, and nonprofits together around watershed research. I founded the Darby-Cobbs Water Quality Stakeholders network and lead participatory research, including resident surveys, focus groups, and stakeholder mapping.
I also founded and lead Penn’s Cobbs Creek Summer Enrichment Program, a K-12 environmental STEM program with a workforce-development track introducing high school students to water-sector careers. My work spans environmental health, research methods, GIS, and community-centered water initiatives.
