Supported AWS infrastructure for the Nexgen project, performing weekly RHEL7/8 OS updates, deploying RHEL8 services with systemd, and troubleshooting Java/space issues. Wrote custom scripts to automate service-account password updates and deployed application updates on IBM WebSphere, including new environment setups.

Contributed to Project Volta at INSCOM deploying infrastructure and code in classified environments using modern DevSecOps toolchains. Regularly used Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Flux, Kustomize, AWS and Ansible while configuring systems to DoD STIG standards.

Maintained Apache Tomcat applications on virtualized RHEL 6/7 servers and supported NetApp/EMC storage, Juniper SRX firewalls and F5 BIG-IP load balancers. Partnered with DevOps to migrate a legacy platform to a GKE Kubernetes cluster to improve resilience, scalability and reduce administration costs, and deployed VMs/containers to Google Cloud.

Led migration of Apache Tomcat applications from Windows to RHEL/CentOS on VMware and established patching/upgrade workflows using Spacewalk. Automated backups and administration with Bash and Python, maintained ASA firewalls and Netgear switches, and deployed NGINX load‑balancers for mission‑critical apps.

Maintained redundant high‑performance JBoss applications on Linux Xen hypervisors and managed Cisco ASA firewalls and site VPNs. Configured Brocade and Coyote Point load balancers, handled application and network troubleshooting, and maintained the digital certificate store for remote VPN users.

Deployed Apache Tomcat applications and maintained RHEL 6.x on Cisco UCS, migrated services off Solaris, and created custom RPMs for Spacewalk. Troubleshot Symantec NetBackup and authentication (Vintela) issues and supported Gerrit/Git/Jenkins services across the group.

Administered ~500 servers/workstations and ESX VMs for TAC users worldwide, supporting Solaris and RHEL systems and deploying Cisco UCS B‑series hardware. Managed storage LUNs on EMC DMX/CX300 via Cisco MDS, implemented HA‑proxy load balancing and mentored new hires to improve operational capability.

Supported enterprise Catalyst switches and LAN technologies including VLANs, Spanning Tree, multicast and HSRP, and assisted customers with switch/router configuration and troubleshooting. Resolved connectivity issues, VLAN trunking and fast etherchannel problems for customers.

Backline TAC engineer supporting Cisco security products (PIX, IDS, Secure ACS) and VPN/IPsec solutions, managed lab equipment and created automation to reproduce customer issues. Served as team lead and training coordinator, and developed scripts and lab services to streamline troubleshooting.

Served as systems administrator for a Microsoft NT network, supporting ~10 NT servers and 20 workstations, performing server/workstation installs and daily backups. Managed Internet connectivity and a Check Point Firewall‑1 instance on Solaris and maintained company external DNS and SMTP services on Linux.

Worked with account teams and customers to connect networks via static routes and BGP and activated/troubleshot circuits from 56k to NxT1. Used Cisco and 3Com routers and various CSU/DSU equipment to verify and resolve circuit and routing issues.

Installed and expanded Novell networks and supported mission‑critical hospital LANs under 24/7 service contracts, performing weekly on‑site visits and documenting configurations. Acted as bench technician repairing PCs and assembled/tested workstations and servers of various configurations.

Supervised PC and Macintosh computer labs, provided user support for Microsoft Office and Mac applications, and maintained printers and student computers. Ensured lab availability and assisted students with technical issues.

Provided user support, wrote Excel spreadsheets to automate weekly reports, and assisted with fiber optic installation for a summer role. Supported end users with PC questions and basic hardware tasks.
