What I'm looking for

I’m looking to lead sport-for-development or youth engagement work where safeguarding, co-production, and inclusion drive impact. I want to grow programmes with strong partnerships, manage multi-funder delivery, and deliver clear monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.

I’m a youth and community engagement professional with 20+ years’ experience designing and delivering programmes for young people from diverse and often marginalised backgrounds. I’m known for creating inclusive spaces where young people can develop confidence, skills, and voice—while keeping safeguarding at the centre of everything I do.

Since founding and directing Mercurial Sports (2012–present), I’ve secured £150k+ in grant funding and managed annual programme budgets of £150k. I co-design with young people, deliver both online and in-person sessions, and use digital systems to record, monitor, and report engagement and outcomes—supporting 200+ participants annually, including international delivery in Ghana.

Previously, as London Sports Programme Manager at Street League London (2004–2011), I built partnerships with organisations including BBC, FIFA, The FA, Chelsea FC, and The Prince’s Trust. I led multi-site programmes, managed a team of 5+ staff, oversaw safeguarding and participant outcomes, and handled multi-funder reporting—also drawing on earlier roles such as Victim Liaison Officer at London Probation Service and programme research work within Lambeth Children’s Homes.
