Jacinta Nyongesa

I’m a native Kiswahili linguist with over 10 years’ experience in language production, transcription, translation, and audio-based projects. I focus on delivering clear, natural recordings that support call center–style use cases and ASR training quality.

Through project-based work with Sigma AI, I record high-quality Swahili audio for ASR training using scripted prompts. I deliver clean audio files using mobile recording devices while meeting technical specifications, including clear pronunciation, natural pacing, and professional tone.

I also provide freelance transcription and proofreading in Kiswahili and English for global clients through Rev.com and Verbit.ai. This work strengthens my attention to audio quality standards and speech clarity—especially when accuracy is required.

In parallel, I serve as a Part-Time Assistant Lecturer at Kibabii University, teaching communication and language-related courses. I train learners in formal spoken Kiswahili for institutional and service contexts, and I apply my BFSI domain familiarity (banking support, loan/credit inquiries, account opening, and insurance communication) to improve practical relevance.
