I’m an experienced transcription staff member and freelance transcriptionist with a background in audio transcription, transcription review, and speech data review. I transcribe audio and video accurately according to client and project requirements, producing clear, consistent transcripts.

I also review and edit pre-existing transcripts to correct spelling, punctuation, missing words, and transcription errors. Working with online transcription platforms such as GoTranscript, I handle different speakers, accents, recording qualities, and conversational situations while following transcription guidelines and conducting quality checks before submission.

I focus on capturing spontaneous speech naturally— including hesitations, repetitions, fillers, false starts, reduced forms, and overlapping speech—while identifying speaker changes and appropriate speech boundaries. With a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics (Kenyatta University) and coursework in phonetics, phonology, and prosody, I bring strong attention to detail, time management, and a commitment to confidentiality.
