What I'm looking for

I’m looking to contribute my translation, transcription, and linguistic data skills to an innovative organization that values accuracy, communication, and quality. I want to support multilingual communication, speech technology development, and AI-driven language projects while expanding my expertise in translation and linguistic data processing.

At GoTranscript, I transcribe English audio and video, from interviews and podcasts to educational recordings and business discussions. I apply transcription guidelines for punctuation, speaker identification, and verbatim formatting, then review transcripts for correctness and consistency.

Through Independent Projects, I translate and localize documents and digital content between English and Swahili. I adapt material for Kenyan and wider East African audiences, while maintaining terminology consistency and checking for clarity and cultural appropriateness.

At TranscribeMe, I converted recorded speech into clear, accurately formatted transcripts and proofread them for omissions, terminology, and punctuation. I worked with recordings featuring different accents and speaking patterns.

My practical work also includes linguistic annotation, multilingual content evaluation, and speech dataset preparation relevant to automatic speech recognition and conversational AI. I hold a Master of Arts in Translation and Interpretation from Kent State University.
