I've conducted independent research at the University of Pennsylvania's James Joo-Jin Kim Center for Korean Studies, examining Korean-English code-switching in K-pop lyrics from 1999 to 2024.
I analyzed linguistic trends across award-winning songs and chart data while completing a two-year Master of East Asian Languages and Civilizations program in one year.
I've also taught beginner Korean at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and volunteered as an intermediate Japanese tutor at Queen Mary University of London. I hold CELTA certification and work across Turkish, English, Japanese, Korean, French, and Chinese.
