At Somerset West Community Health Centre, I lead community engagement and daily operations for ANCHOR, Ottawa’s 24/7 alternative mobile crisis response program. I coordinate staffing, coverage, workflows, and frontline resources while balancing service needs and real-time priorities.
I build working relationships across healthcare, housing, emergency services, outreach, and community organizations so people can connect with the right support. I also represent ANCHOR at community meetings and public events, and co-plan outreach with partner organizations.
Before this role, I responded to acute mental health and substance use crises as a Crisis Response Worker with ANCHOR, using risk assessment, de-escalation, safety planning, and referrals. At Ottawa Foyer Partage and Tamir Foundation, I supported adults with complex developmental, behavioural, and medical needs.
Earlier, I ran day-to-day group home operations at Main Street Community Services and supported executive governance as Executive Recording Secretary for CUPE Local 4870. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed, person-centred, harm-reduction, and culturally responsive approaches.
