What I'm looking for

I'm looking for translation, localization, proofreading, or reviewing work across IT, legal, government, healthcare, social, and adoption content. I'm willing to train on and familiarize myself with new tools.

I've worked as a freelance translator for agencies including Afrolingo, AZ Translations, CBG, CSOFT, FutureTrans, GoTransparent, East Localize, and cApStAn LQC since 2011.

I localize products for major global IT companies and translate confidential governmental communications, administrative materials, medical and social-content documents, and adoption paperwork.

At the Ethiopian Press Agency, I worked as a journalist for the English daily Ethiopian Herald, translating Amharic sources into English, editing content, and reporting on diverse issues.

I work with CAT tools including Trados, Phrase, SmartCat, XTM, OmegaT, and Wordfast Anywhere. I also contribute to open-source localization efforts, including Ubuntu and Creative Commons licences, and am currently learning full-stack web development.
