What I'm looking for
I’m a Commercial Underwriter with a strong research and analytical background, focused on “accurate pricing for profitability on new and renewal business.” Since 2017, I’ve reviewed potential policies for “risk appetite within company guidelines,” using current and past loss history to confirm existing policies are “within risk appetite and profitable.” I also “underwrite multiple lines of business” including Commercial Property, Commercial General Liability, Commercial Auto, Inland Marine, Excess and Umbrella lines.
Before underwriting, I built customer-first skills through Outside Sales and customer service/technical support roles. I’m comfortable “examining and apporove many types of risks” and handling fast-moving, detail-heavy work—from “cold call sales” and “door to door sales” to “retentions,” “troubleshooting internet service,” and “handling escalated calls.” I bring time management, prioritizing of needs, and strong Word/Excel proficiency to every decision.
