@emilycraven
Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse with CPN/CCRN credentials and leadership in care plans.
What I'm looking for
I am a Current Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse qualified with CPN and CCRN certifications, and I bring a strong focus on assessment-driven care planning. I also have experience as a delegating nurse/registered nurse superintendent and case manager for a pediatric home care company.
In my superintendent/delegating nurse/case manager role, I provide consultant services that include training, testing, and supervision of unlicensed personnel who deliver direct day-to-day care. I review patient records, interpret medical orders, assess medical needs, develop individuals’ nursing care plans, and create written monthly and annual nursing reviews.
I oversee clinical quality through medication incident reviews and audit reviews for CMT and LPNs’ medication administration and documentation, while ensuring direct care staff properly document medical treatment. I also coordinate admission assessments, participate in monthly post-admission conferences, and support discharge planning through regular communication with the interdisciplinary team.
In the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children’s National Hospital, I provide direct patient care and education for a diverse range of pediatric and young adult patients across complex diagnoses. I support family-centered care, precept new nurses and students, and take on leadership as a charge nurse—creating safe assignments, delegating and monitoring quality of care, and responding to unit and hospital-wide emergencies as needed.
