At Artistic Literacy, Inc., I design and facilitate professional development workshops for library professionals. I work with clients and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and create facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, and assessments.
At the University of Florida, Lastinger Center for Learning, I turned reading-science research and changing state standards into about 125 interactive guides a year for children and parents. The guides reached 300,000+ program participants, and I revised content using satisfaction and achievement data.
I also created content for four custom magazines in partnership with Highlights, worked on their redesign, and coordinated translation. As a literacy subject matter expert for an augmented reality reading app, I shaped how its games worked and wrote its literacy content.
At the City of Jacksonville, Jacksonville Public Library, I wrote programs for staff across a 21-branch system and created the materials they needed to deliver them. I trained and coached presenters, reviewed colleagues’ programs, and led the system-wide move to virtual delivery during COVID-19.
