Dan A
@dana
Backend engineer at OpusApeiro who built its public Rust REST API and optimised stored procedures by 80%+.
United KingdomWhat I'm looking for
At OpusApeiro, I designed and built the company's public multi-tenant REST API in Rust, including API-key authentication, rate limiting, webhooks and OpenAPI documentation. I also optimised critical stored procedures by 80%+ across 300 multi-tenant MSSQL databases.
I ship production features in Python, SQL, .NET and Rust, and built AI tooling that includes an assistant with MCP tool use, multi-agent text-to-SQL and RAG over internal documents. I also built real-time computer vision systems and an autonomous patrol system for Unitree quadruped robots.
Before OpusApeiro, I was lead maintainer of interactions.py, an open-source async Python framework. I led its architecture and designed its REST API and WebSocket gateway layers. I'm looking for a remote backend role at a product-focused startup.
