At VAS-X (Pty) Ltd, now part of Lumine Group, I lead a team of 4-6 engineers supporting business-critical recharge and provisioning platforms. I plan workload and rosters, coach engineers, and conduct performance reviews.
I own SLA compliance and reporting, and manage incidents from triage and escalation through service restoration, root-cause analysis, and corrective action. I also run customer service reviews and coordinate releases through testing and production deployments.
I co-led the migration of applications and legacy systems from Oracle GlassFish and Payara GlassFish to Docker and Kubernetes, owning testing, monitoring, and production cutover. I also co-lead vulnerability remediation and OS migration work with infrastructure, security, and customer teams.
Earlier, I managed the NOC for FTTX services at ZTE Corporation South Africa (Pty) Ltd and provided support for electronic toll collection systems at Kapsch TrafficCom South Africa (Pty) Ltd. Across my career, I've worked in production application support, incident management, and telecommunications operations.
