What I'm looking for

I’m looking to lead mission-driven projects where evaluation, facilitation, and advocacy create measurable impact—especially for climate action, transparency, and citizen participation—while partnering with teams that value methodical rigor and collaboration.

I’m a project manager in development cooperation, civil society projects, and climate protection in Germany since 1996. I bring political advisory and advocacy experience across energy-efficient retrofitting, climate change, sustainability, open data, and transparency.

Since 08/2023, I’ve led “Energiesprong - industrialised energy efficient retrofitting of homes and public buildings” at provincial level—initiating stakeholder networks, coordinating outreach, and building capacity through 30+ trainings and events with over 2000 participants. I also drive advocacy work targeting parliament and government representatives, while handling financial management, fundraising, strategic planning, monitoring, team coordination, and reporting.

From 01/2008 to 07/2023, I worked as a freelance consultant and evaluator, completing over 40 consultancies for organisations including BMZ, GIZ, KfW, USAID, and others. I led complex evaluation missions across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the Balkans, with a consistent focus on good governance, accountability, civil society, decentralisation, citizen participation, and transparency—using methods and tools such as OECD DAC criteria, Theory of Change, Contribution Analysis, and MaxQDA for coding and text analysis.

I’m also a highly experienced facilitator and organiser of international events, with a strong track record in initiating and coordinating civic climate action. As a board member and spokesperson (from 11/2022), I helped establish and coordinate a municipal climate council, and through initiatives like 2030 Watch and open knowledge advocacy (including IATI), I’ve strengthened policy dialogue with data, indicators, and public engagement.
