At the University of Manchester, I lead final-year nursing education, supervise PhD and MSc researchers, and have secured £185,000 as Principal Investigator through NIHR Research for Patient Benefit.
My PhD examined self-management interventions for adults with Type 2 diabetes in primary care, and my research spans chronic disease management, patient safety, mixed-methods evaluation, and evidence-based practice. I've published 14 peer-reviewed articles since 2022 and contribute to research ethics and programme quality assurance.
Alongside my academic work, I maintain active NMC registration and clinical practice. My NHS experience includes managing complex diabetes care as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and delivering acute care as a Staff Nurse.
