What I'm looking for
I'm a paralegal with four years of experience spanning court operations and civil litigation. I'm moving toward eDiscovery and legal operations because of how fast those fields are changing with new technology, and I want to be closer to the platforms driving that shift and how they're changing document review and collection. I use DISCO day to day, and I'm teaching myself Relativity on my own time through its free training environment, anticipating that my office may soon work with a firm that uses it. I also work regularly with Westlaw AI and am familiar with Lexis AI. I recently joined a workgroup at my office focused on evaluating AI tools as alternatives to Copilot for daily tasks.
That same interest in new systems shaped my last major project as a court supervisor, where I led the implementation of a new e-filing system. I learned the platform in depth, then trained attorneys and staff on it. Now, as a paralegal supporting complex litigation, I coordinate discovery, manage document production, and track deadlines across multiple active matters. I earned a Paralegal of the Year award for that work and finished my AAS in Paralegal Studies summa cum laude in December.
Outside of work, I do the NYT crossword every day, I'm teaching myself Italian ahead of a trip to Italy, and I read a lot of history for fun. I hike and go to the gym regularly, and travel is a big part of why I'm looking at this next move. I want work that doesn't tie me to one location.
