Remote Automation Engineer role where I own workflows end-to-end, from finding the manual bottleneck to shipping the system that removes it. Strongest at automation with an AI layer: agentic workflows, LLM pipelines, CRM/messaging/payment integrations. Open to AI or Integrations Engineer titles. My career has an unusual shape: I spent five years inside banking operations before becoming an engineer. I watched and lived the manual workflows that slow organizations down, and started automating my own reporting before I could really code. That experience is why I retrained, and it still defines how I work: I don't automate for elegance, I automate because I know what manual drudgery costs a team.

Since then, I've grown from freelance web work into running my own engineering practice in Nairobi, serving clients in Kenya and internationally. The progression has been deliberate: websites, then CRM and workflow automation, then AI-powered pipelines, and now agentic systems. My current focus is a multi-tenant AI agent platform (LangGraph, FastAPI, n8n, PostgreSQL, M-Pesa) that lets small businesses offer intelligent customer support over WhatsApp, the kind of leverage that used to require a team.

What genuinely interests me is the unglamorous frontier: where AI agents meet real operations: payments, CRMs, and messy human workflows - especially in markets where one good automation changes what a small team can do. Long-term, I want to be the engineer teams trust to take a workflow from "this is painful" to "this runs itself."
