What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can build full-stack products and AI features—shipping secure APIs, performance-focused systems, and well-tested experiences—while working in an Agile team that values iteration, ownership, and learning.

I'm a Full-Stack Software Developer with a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia, and I build production-grade web applications end-to-end, from schema design and RESTful APIs to responsive, accessible frontends, with a focus on reliability, performance, and measurable impact.

My core stack is TypeScript across the board: React/Next.js on the frontend, Node.js/Express and NestJS on the backend, backed by PostgreSQL (often with Drizzle or Prisma ORM) and Redis for caching. I containerize and ship everything through Docker, Nginx, and GitHub Actions CI/CD, and I've deployed production systems on both Vercel and AWS (S3, CloudFront, App Runner, ECR).

In my capstone project, MASHER, I led development of a role-based TA allocation platform that eliminated manual spreadsheet workflows, cut coordinator overhead by an estimated 8+ hours per cycle, and shipped with 94% test coverage and Redis-cached queries running ~40% faster at P95. I also work extensively across AI/ML engineering, building LLM-integrated systems with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), pgvector/HNSW semantic search, and multi-model orchestration via LangGraph, including a conversational memory agent that cut extraction costs ~25x by pairing Claude Haiku and Sonnet for different tasks.

I care about the fundamentals as much as the frontier: strong testing discipline (Vitest, Jest, Playwright), clean Git/PR workflows, and Agile collaboration are non-negotiables in how I work, whether I'm building solo or with a team. As VP Events for the UBC Coding Club, I also ran a full year of technical workshops and hackathons, which sharpened my ability to plan, communicate, and deliver under real deadlines with non-technical stakeholders in the room.

I'm currently open to full-stack and AI-adjacent engineering roles where I can keep building systems that are well-integrated, well-tested, and actually solve problems, not just be technically impressive on paper.
