Ashlee Ruiz

At Nicklaus Children's Hospital, I provide critical care for neonates and medically complex pediatric patients in a Level IV NICU. I'm cross-trained to float across the PICU, Cardiac ICU, and Neuro ICU.

I manage ventilated patients across HFOV, jet, and conventional modes, administer and titrate high-alert medications and continuous drips, and coordinate individualized care with neonatology, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary teams. I also educate families on infant care, feeding plans, home monitoring equipment, and discharge needs, including Spanish-speaking families.

Alongside bedside care, I work per diem at Refine Health, delivering IV hydration therapies, diagnostic testing, injections, and patient education. I use Cerner, Bridge, and Timeless to support comprehensive assessment, documentation, and care coordination.

My background also includes healthcare project management, clinician credentialing, EMR administration, quality improvement, and healthcare data analysis. I'm currently pursuing my Family Nurse Practitioner degree and am committed to improving outcomes for children and families through evidence-based, family-centered care.
