Armand Villa

I am a Computer Systems Engineer with more than 15 years of experience in Linux platform administration, critical infrastructure support and telecommunications operations for international operators. I specialize in advanced troubleshooting, log analysis and automation.

My las position was as a Technical Support Engineer at Ericsson, providing specialized support to OCS platforms in Latin America. I diagnose incidents on Linux, analyze traffic with Tcpdump/Wireshark, and deal with Java, TLS/SSL, Docker and Kubernetes applications.

Previously, as an Integration Engineer at UNICA Cloud Infrastructure, I deployed and supported VNFs over OpenStack for Verizon and operationally managed virtualized infrastructure. I also collaborated in 4G LTE and 5G tests, working with VMware ESXi, OpenStack and Dell servers; and configured EPC components such as MME, HSS, CUDB, EPG, SAPC and EDA.

My projects highlighted results such as reducing provisioning activities from hours to minutes through automation in Bash for the provision of IMSIs over CUDB and HSS, and reducing human errors in integration tests. Additionally, I designed and implemented a Samba-based solution as a Primary Domain Controller to replace vulnerable Windows infrastructure, improving operational stability and reducing exposure to security incidents.
