Amelia Aw
@ameliaaw
Educator specializing in language instruction and autism-informed support to drive measurable student progress.
What I'm looking for
I’m an Educator with a strong background in language-focused teaching and learner-centred support. With training in Linguistics and experience working with students on the autism spectrum, I bring structured, practical strategies to the classroom.
In my most recent role at Pathlight School, I delivered tailored English and language lessons for Primary 4 students with ASD. I adapted materials using visual supports, scaffolding, and differentiated instruction aligned with Universal Design for Learning (UDL), improving engagement by 20% and raising the English pass rate from 56% to 89%.
I also supported SEN learners at Buxton School, working with Year 7 and Year 9 students with ASD and ADHD. I applied behaviour- and attention-focused approaches, collaborated with subject teachers, prepared learning resources with minimal disruption, and used ESS SIMS to manage daily school operations and support learning outcomes.
Beyond education, I’ve built strengths in client-facing operations and people support as a Human Resource Executive and Customer Service Officer. I managed end-to-end onboarding, operated CRM systems, improved response and operational productivity, and coordinated schedules and administration—skills I now use to keep learning plans, records, and day-to-day execution consistently on track.
