At Ferryhopper, I own the NestJS/TypeScript service and data layer connecting the app to core booking systems. I built the user-profile service for app and web, and designed port search with Jaro-Winkler fuzzy matching and custom ranking.
I led backend design for the Primer.io checkout integration, enabling several new payment methods. I also cut core-system endpoint load by up to 50% by investigating RxJS request issues, adding tests, and introducing caching.
Previously, I built Ruby REST APIs and Node.js microservices at Nimber, including a Stripe payment flow with PSD2 Strong Customer Authentication. I also contributed to PublicaMundi and built GIS apps and QGIS plugins at Geospatial Enabling Technologies; outside work, I’m developing GeoQuiz, an Android geography quiz.
