What I'm looking for

I'm looking to build scalable backend and distributed systems, particularly real-time APIs, event-driven services, databases, and network-focused products.

I'm building a 0-to-1 event-discovery and social platform backend for a stealth startup, using Node.js, TypeScript, Hexagonal Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design.

I design RESTful and gRPC APIs for distributed real-time messaging with gRPC streams, Apache Kafka, and ScyllaDB. I also built semantic event discovery with Milvus, proximity matching, Neo4j social-graph services, and asynchronous media ingestion using MinIO, Redis, and Sharp.

At FORTH's TNB Lab / CARV, I benchmarked distributed key-value stores and vector retrieval architectures, and built Python pipelines for BGP routing telemetry analysis. I also created ChatBGP, a RAG-based networking tutor using Python and LlamaIndex.

I've optimized REST APIs and MySQL queries at Exa Solutions, taught computer networks at the University of Crete, and use automated testing and CI to keep backend systems reliable.
