Designed and implemented a production-ready, end-to-end intraday algorithmic trading platform in Python, incorporating modular components for backtesting, live execution, risk management, and performance analytics. Implemented custom trading algorithms and strategies, tuning entry/exit logic and risk parameters based on backtested performance.

Led the backend rewrite and integration of a high-traffic PHP/Laravel application into Shopify's core Ruby on Rails codebase, improving system performance and maintainability.

Re-engineered and optimized an enterprise task manager platform, converting the existing codebase from Go to Python to streamline maintenance and align with core backend architecture.

Developed core backend infrastructure for stores.sainsburys.co.uk and admin.stores.sainsburys.co.uk using Python, Flask, Celery, and Elasticsearch running on AWS and Docker. Architected event-driven architecture emitting and consuming store management streams using Apache Kafka.

Engineered smart home voice integration apps for Amazon Alexa and Google Home using Python and AWS Lambda. Participated in cross-functional refactoring initiatives to port serverless apps from Python to Node.js for optimized execution times.

Served as part of the integration team, helping to integrate external APIs with the core platform using Python, Django, and Redis.

Built greenfield microservices and RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework for a custom SaaS platform serving the energy sector. Implemented complex energy trading algorithms utilizing NumPy and Pandas; set up CI/CD automation pipelines via Docker, Jenkins, and Buildbot.

Partnered with data science teams to build high-volume data ingestion tools processing sales data via MongoDB aggregations and MapReduce. Deployed ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack for centralized logging and analytics alongside a MongoDB replica set to ensure system redundancy and resilience.
