What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a housing role where I can reduce homelessness through evidence-based assessments and strong stakeholder partnership, while working to safeguarding standards and strict legislation. I want to manage complex caseloads and deliver high-quality outcomes.

I’m a Housing Solutions Officer with over 8 years of experience delivering customer-focused services across local government, law enforcement, and public-facing environments. I combine strong communication and analytical thinking to support vulnerable people with evidence-based, legislation-led decisions.

In my current role at Brent Council, I provide housing advice and homelessness prevention services under the Housing Act 1996 and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. I assess homelessness applications, determine statutory duties, investigate cases, review supporting evidence, and issue Section 184 decision letters.

I’m experienced in case management and stakeholder engagement—liaising with landlords, tenants, housing providers, and partner agencies to prevent homelessness and resolve housing issues. I also assess the validity of Section 21 notices, advise clients on housing rights, and make Section 198 referrals where applicants do not have a local connection.

Before housing work, I served as a Police Constable with responsibility for investigations, safeguarding-focused incident response, and detailed evidence gathering. Earlier experience in security and CCTV roles strengthened my record-keeping discipline, conflict resolution, and ability to manage sensitive information while maintaining quality and compliance.
