At Myntra, I built a production-grade automated MySQL backup/restore service in Python 3, using multiprocessing and multithreading to parallelize chunking, compression, and blob uploads.
I cut full backup time from 31h to 4.5h (85%) and incremental backup time from 28h to 2.5h (91%) for a 14.5TB database, while adding incremental logic and precise metadata for point-in-time recovery across 50+ clusters.
Before that, at Oracle Financial Services, I developed backend services for Supply Chain Finance with Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle DB, and shipped features like a “Stock Basket” bulk-trading execution engine; earlier, I reduced CPU from 75% to 8% peak by replacing DB polling with Redis Streams in a vendor fare polling flow.
