Abdul-Kader Hendricks
@abdul-kaderhendricks
Programme coordinator and curriculum developer in education; rebuilt a Physical Sciences programme to an 80% pass rate.
What I'm looking for
At Fisantekraal Secondary School — Western Cape Education Department (WCED), I rebuilt a Physical Sciences programme at risk of being phased out. The cohort achieved an 80% pass rate by 2021, and the school’s first learner was accepted into Medicine, with three accepted into Computer Science.
I developed CAPS-aligned curriculum programmes, learning materials and assessments, and used performance monitoring to guide interventions. In 2022, I achieved 100% pass rates across four Grade 12 subjects.
As Discipline Head, I designed and implemented a school-wide behaviour management framework, including staff workshops, protocols and incident reporting tools. I also supported school management with operational coordination, policy implementation and quality assurance.
Earlier, as Programme Coordinator at Keep Them Safe Initiative (NGO), I coordinated youth safety and community education programmes. I’ve also built learning websites using WordPress and Elementor and used generative AI tools to draft and refine content.
