What I'm looking for

I’m seeking to step further into academic leadership, strengthening governance and advancing quality Learning and Teaching practices across the higher-education and accreditation landscape—especially through data-driven, student-centred systems.

I began my professional journey in education with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education after completing a BA in Psychology, and my classroom experience shaped a deep understanding of learning, human development, and how education transforms lives.

Over the past five years, I have built extensive experience in the higher education sector, complemented by freelance academic contributions such as lecturing, external examining, research reviewing, and academic tutoring. My core specialisation lies in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, Academic Operations Management, and Accreditation and Compliance, with a comprehensive view of the full academic lifecycle—from programme design and development through to delivery, assessment, quality assurance, and certification across contact and distance learning.

Currently, I serve in a senior academic leadership role as Dean of Academics, leading institutional academic operations, governance, and quality assurance functions at scale. I drive accreditation processes with DHET, CHE, and SAQA; develop and implement academic policies aligned to HEQSF; lead institutional readiness for audits, evaluations, and programme approvals; and oversee the end-to-end learner journey “from registration to alumni.” I’m known for leading high-performing academic teams, embedding data-driven approaches to teaching and student success, and applying a human-centred leadership style that balances academic rigour with workplace-relevant learning.
