Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Millwright Manager to lead our remote team in maintaining and optimizing mechanical systems within our organization. This pivotal role focuses on overseeing millwright operations, ensuring efficiency and safety while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of millwrights, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to enhance operational efficiency and minimize downtime
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify maintenance needs and potential hazards
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring that all projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Establish training programs for millwrights to enhance skill sets and promote best practices
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies regarding safety and environmental standards
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in millwright operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations
- Proven track record of managing teams effectively and driving performance improvements
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure
Preferred:
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Certification in a relevant field (e.g., Millwright Certification, Mechanical Engineering) is a plus
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies and techniques
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- In-depth understanding of mechanical components, systems, and processes
- Experience with maintenance management software and tools
- Knowledge of diagnostic tools and techniques for troubleshooting mechanical failures
