Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Machine Assembly Supervisor to lead our assembly team in ensuring the efficient and precise assembly of complex machinery. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, optimizing assembly processes, and ensuring compliance with quality standards while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily assembly operations, ensuring that production schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of assembly technicians, providing guidance on best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Implement and monitor assembly processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality control.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and assembly work to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to address design issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of production performance and report metrics to management for continuous process improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in machine assembly or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of assembly techniques, tools, and machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Experience with quality assurance processes and safety protocols.
Preferred:
- Associate's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with CAD software and technical drawings.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using assembly tools and machinery, including pneumatic and electric tools.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and inspection processes.
- Experience with ERP systems for tracking production workflows.
