Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager with a specialization in Millwright activities to lead our maintenance team in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our industrial machinery. This role is pivotal in developing maintenance strategies, overseeing repair operations, and championing a culture of safety and operational excellence within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance management plan, focusing on predictive and preventative maintenance strategies for millwright operations
- Oversee the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring timely and efficient execution of maintenance tasks
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities that minimize downtime and optimize equipment availability
- Lead root cause analysis of equipment failures and develop effective action plans to prevent recurrence
- Monitor key performance indicators for maintenance effectiveness, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet operational goals
- Foster a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
- Train and mentor maintenance personnel, enhancing their technical skills and promoting professional development
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance management, with a focus on millwright activities in an industrial setting
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical troubleshooting
- Proven experience in leading maintenance teams and managing complex maintenance projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of implementing effective solutions
Preferred:
- Associate's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, industrial technology, or a related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Maintenance Manager, Millwright Certification)
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using maintenance management software and tools for tracking work orders and performance metrics
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, including conveyors, pumps, and motors
- Experience with welding, fabrication, and other millwright-related skills
