Our client is looking for a Pharmacy Customer Service Representative to support their patient-facing operations. They operate within the healthcare and pharmacy services space and have strengthened their operations in recent years through process optimization and customer-focused solutions.
This role plays a key part in ensuring a smooth experience for patients by managing inquiries, resolving concerns, and coordinating with pharmacies. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, highly organized, and able to communicate clearly while handling sensitive situations.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient intake and assist with onboarding processes
- Handle incoming inquiries and provide timely, accurate support
- De-escalate patient concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Resolve issues related to prescriptions, payments, and general inquiries
- Process payments and issue refunds when required
- Coordinate with pharmacies to ensure prescriptions are filled correctly
- Follow up with patients and pharmacies to ensure resolution of cases
- Escalate complex issues or tickets to the appropriate internal teams
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions in the system
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service roles
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle high-volume interactions while maintaining quality
- Experience managing sensitive or escalated situations
- High level of attention to detail and organization
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Comfortable working with multiple systems simultaneously
Qualifications
- Prior experience in pharmacy, healthcare, or Rx-related roles is preferred
- Experience handling patient intake or healthcare support processes is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Professional, empathetic, and calm demeanor
- Adaptability in fast-paced environments
