About the role

To help fulfill this mission, we are looking for a Senior Water Advisor to join the Professional ServicesDepartment at Waterplan. The Senior Water Advisor will be part of the Corporate Water Risk team and will support our European and Asian customers.

Over the last three years, Waterplan has built an outstanding portfolio of clients who look forward to moving the needle and making a positive difference in the world.
In this role, you will collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to assess water-related risks and recommend mitigation strategies for companies seeking to manage risk and business continuity.

About your core focusCustomer Engagement:

  • Participate along the customer journey as a water subject matter expert and deliver Waterplan’s value proposition.

  • Deliver insights and recommendations to our customers through different actions according to their use case and purchase driver.

Collaboration and Expertise

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Solutions Specialists, Water Advisor peers, Science, Sales) as a subject matter expert - on industry, region, or use case - to help our clients achieve their goals and delight them.

  • Actively contribute and provide feedback to the Product team to improve and expand our product(s) and services.

  • Build internal expertise through formal and informal training.

Quality Assurance:

  • Own the quality, accuracy, clarity, and timeliness of deliverables to clients.

  • Provide direction and focus to the research needed to meet these objectives.

Research and Knowledge Sharing

  • Proactively research and share trends and developments in industry, policy, news, etc. both within the organization and externally.

Your Profile

  • Proven Experience:

    • 8+ years of experience working in a corporate EHS or corporate sustainability or consulting capacity.

    • Experience presenting clearly and concisely to C-suite/VPs/Directors/Managers.

    • Technical expertise in one or more (several preferred) of the following areas: water resources management; industrial water efficiency, treatment, reuse, and recycling; climate risk assessment, financial quantification, and mitigation planning; water rights, regulations, standards, and policy; and ESG and sustainability reporting and/or auditing.

  • Educational Background: Degree (Masters preferred) in a hydrology, hydrogeology or engineering discipline.

  • Skillset:

    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, in Spanish and English

    • Ability with Google Suite (spreadsheets, presentations, etc.

    • Proactive and hands-on with a collaborative and iterative continuous improvement mindset and approach.

    • Highly organized with the ability to self-train and manage own time and deliverables effectively.
