Virta Health is pioneering a new standard of care for people to reclaim their lives. We are in the midst of a public health crisis: obesity rates are at an all-time high and over half of US adults have type 2 diabetes or prediabetes, and despite billions spent on new treatments, outcomes are largely worse. Virta reverses these diseases and delivers life-changing results by pairing individualized nutrition with ongoing care from a clinical support team. We have raised over $350 million from top-tier investors, and partner with the largest health plans, employers, and government organizations to help their employees and members restore their health and take back their lives.

You will be a key contributor to the Growth Marketing team, delivering on ambitious marketing access and activation goals. You will work directly with your growth marketing teammates to drive the execution of multi-channel customer marketing project plans. This role is a great fit for someone with a talent for self-managing and executing a wide-variety of marketing tasks, with a strong eye for detail and passion for delivering high quality work products that make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and optimize customer marketing enrollment campaigns across multiple channels (email, direct mail, SMS, Social) to build awareness, support consideration and increase applications and enrollments

    • Develop and manage email automation programs in Braze to increase awareness and nurture prospective patients who are eligible for Virta through employer or health plan benefit programs.

    • Manage, execute and optimize Direct Mail marketing campaigns

    • Manage audience segmentations, campaign flows and triggered flows to drive application and enrollment business OKRs.

    • Ideate and collaborate to create testing hypotheses and execute multivariate tests to drive a culture of “always learning” and maximizing engagement metrics (subject line, CTA, send time, content, etc.)

    • Monitor, analyze and present performance metrics and insights

  • Collaborate with marketing team members to support operations at scale

    • Manage list hygiene and enforce database management best practice

    • Improve email rendering issues, mobile responsiveness and overall channel process

    • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve and develop email template design—we use a SaaS email builder product, but you will still need a good understanding of HTML as well as UX/UI best practices

    • QA marketing materials and ensure work products shared with customers are of the highest quality and meet Virta brand standards.

    • Create and update playbooks to sustain performance over time and educate cross-functional stakeholders including customer marketers and customer success teams

    • Develop relationships with internal stakeholders to support the book of business and member marketing needs.

90 Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:

  • Become proficient in our ESP (Braze) and other relevant martech systems (Amplitude, Looker, Asana, etc)

  • Develop a deep understanding of the patient journey, Virta’s lines of business and our marketing and automation strategy

  • Collaborate cross functionally to co-develop the next generation of Virta’s email templates, including personalized, user-specific email elements

  • Support the expansion of Virta’s automation programs—behavioral triggers, post-event email nurture campaigns, lead gen capabilities, etc.

  • Take ownership of the direct mail marketing channel and the email channel for the mature book of business

  • Run A/B tests to better understand our prospective patients interests

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or quantitative field

  • At least 5 years professional experience with 3+ years of hands-on email experience – managing automation campaigns end-to-end for high-growth DTC brands

  • Exceptional planning and project management skills: can juggle competing priorities and plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (Email, direct mail, SMS, etc)

  • Advanced analytical skills: proven track record analyzing datasets and translating insights into opportunities for new segment definitions, flow enhancements, multi-variate testing and optimization

  • Highly-experienced operator across CRM platforms, automation platforms and business application systems. (Salesforce, Braze, and Amplitude)

  • Results-oriented creative problem solver with strong desire to test and learn

  • Team player who is comfortable collaborating cross-functionally in fast-paced environments

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in highly-regulated industries

  • Candidate with experience managing direct mail campaigns strongly preferred
