About you
As a customer facing Strategic Growth Director at Viable Data, you will work within the sales strategy set by the Business Unit Director. You will be working independently and be responsible for creating a strategic roadmap for new avenues into the Defence sector. This will include researching policy and competitor information to position Viable Data in bringing the most value in solving the Defence sector’s problems using technology, people and process.
This means that the role will be varied in its content but largely focused on winning new business within Defence.
This role is hybrid with expensed business essential travel approximately 50%.
Due to the nature of work, you must be willing to undergo and be capable of achieving SC Clearance with further DV Clearance in the future and you must be UK based with British Citizenship/ILR/ Settled Status.
Requirements
Key responsibilities
- Understanding the competitive landscape, government policies, legislation and strategy and align to Viable Data’s offerings.
- Own the opportunity life cycle, including, prospecting, qualification, scoping, negotiating, delivering and supporting.
- Managing your own pipeline and monthly revenue forecasting against your own formulated growth plan.
- Bid Leadership & Management – ensuring bids are shaped, strategised and positioned for success with key win themes, in collaboration with Viable Data team members.
- Identify key growth opportunities, defining a programmatic approach to demand-to-generate, develop, and expand your account.
- Managing customer relationships and building out key contacts, to include senior C-suite and equivalent, stakeholders.
- Build relationships within client leadership teams and work to understand internal and external factors influencing their strategy.
- Delivering profitability through effective strategy, pricing and positioning.
- Facilitating meetings to efficiently achieve objectives.
- Utilise story telling techniques to influence customers into using our services.
- Pursuing sales leads through networking and relationship building.
- Managing your quota to achieve annual team goals.
- Using Benefit/Value Led Selling and consultative skills to highlight the benefit of Viable Data’s services.
Skills and experience needed
- Understanding of consultancy-based business, to include independently creating and implementing a strategy of selling services into defence.
- Polished presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences.
- Organisation, time management and collaboration skills, being able to influence and build rapport.
- Highly effective influencing and negotiation skills.
- Confidence in being able to disagree with a Stakeholder to offer a better solution
- Commercial and Financial awareness to ensure profitability.
