At Tradeshift, we're building a more connected world.
It began with a dream.
In 2005, entrepreneurs Christian, Mikkel and Gert had a vision: to connect every business in the world.
They saw that the world was getting more connected every day. But no one was building the digital infrastructure required to link the global economy.
So when the Danish National IT & Telecom Agency asked them to create an e-invoice network, they saw an opportunity.
First, they built EasyTrade, the world’s first open-source trade platform.*
They played a central role in the European Commission’s PEPPOL initiative, building electronic invoicing and e-business infrastructure and standards that have become a de facto standard for compliance models around the world.
Then the trio swapped a cozy corporate office for a freezing garage in Copenhagen.
And got to work on something bigger.
Inspired by social networking sites like LinkedIn, Tradeshift was born out of a desire to build something truly different and impactful. A global trade network, encompassing every interaction between a buyer and a supplier, and delivering tangible value to every participant.
