We are seeking a Digital Twin Developer with experience in Autodesk platform services and spatial design software to help evolve our existing MVP into a robust, scalable platform. You’ll work closely with our internal engineering team, product managers, and data architects to integrate real-time data from IoT sensors and improve the performance, usability, and maintainability of the platform. You will be expected to build upon an existing codebase, conduct reviews and implement improvements, and maintain clear technical documentation for current and future contributors.Responsibilities
● Work within the existing digital twin codebase to extend functionality and improve architecture.
● Conduct code reviews, identify areas for optimization, and implement technical improvements.
● Integrate real-time sensor data (temperature, noise, light, air quality, etc.) into visual models of physical spaces.
● Integrate access and lighting management tools into Digital Twin.
● Collaborate with data architects to ensure backend systems are optimized for scaling sensor input and user interaction.
● Enhance rendering capabilities using tools like Blender and Autodesk Platform Services for realistic and dynamic 3D visualizations.
● Enforce building code logic (e.g., fire safety, collision detection) within the space planning interface.
● Maintain up-to-date documentation of system architecture, code decisions, and development practices.
● Support preparation for technical workshops focused on long-term platform architecture and scaling.
● Continuously improve the User flow and experience.
Requirements
● Extensive experience with Autodesk platform services (formerly known as Forge).● Experience with BIM modeling.
● Experience in real estate technology, architectural software, or construction-tech / prop-tech platforms.
● Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python for backend/frontend integrations.
● Familiarity with 3D rendering engines (Blender or similar) and CAD-based modeling.
● Experience working with real-time or near-real-time sensor data streams.
● Proven ability to work with refactor and documenting an existing codebase.
● Strong communication and documentation skills.
