Tides is seeking a Senior Talent Specialist to join the Talent Acquisition team. This team has grown steadily since its inception three years ago. It is now poised to build out a consistent and equitable program for recruiting and selecting talent, as the team continues to expand Tides’ outstanding workforce. The Senior Talent Specialist will play an integral role in this endeavor.
The Senior Talent Specialist is a newly created position reporting to the Senior Talent Partner, with a dotted line to the Senior Talent Operations Partner. The Senior Talent Specialist will split their time between posting jobs and scheduling interviews, and general process improvement projects. The successful candidate will have proven experience with Outlook and Zoom calendaring, job advertising (preferred) in a meeting heavy and interview heavy environment. They will be a skilled project manager who is able to pivot between following and giving direction. The successful candidate will be a strong collaborator who does not hesitate to voice when they see an opportunity to make a process more efficient, equitable or data-driven.
What you will Do
Recruiting Coordination (50%)
- Manage the process for creating and posting all job requisitions (currently in ADP Workforce Now)
- Own the internal and external job posting processes, with adherence to Tides’ Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Maintain sync with all external sites, including Tides’ website, LinkedIn, and various job boards
- Post job announcements on Tides’ internal platforms and across Employee Resource Groups
- Assist in the preparation of interviews, ensuring all interviewers have the proper materials, training and support to review applicants, with a focus on equity and consistency
- In partnership with Recruiters, prep and format interview collateral
- Own the interview scheduling process, coordinating all logistics in pursuit of an excellent, inclusive experience for candidates and for interviewers
- Coordinate and deploy reference check process
Recruiting Operations (40%)
- Build and enhance systems related to recruiting coordination duties
- Support Recruiters with pipeline data management
- Monitor the aging of all requisitions and support Recruiters with closing requisitions
- Support the transition of new hires into Tides’ onboarding program
- Organize key data to support the creation of both new and routine reports, including time to fill, quality of hire, pipeline diversity, and sourcing effectiveness
- Maintain communications templates and organize in Tides’ intranet (SharePoint)
- Manage our standard reference checking process (currently SkillSurvey)
- Answer questions from employees related to referrals, applications and more; support employees with troubleshooting issues as needed
- Reconcile credit card purchases and pay relevant invoices
- Monitor teams’ use of recruiting processes and elevate opportunities for reinforcement or improvement
Special Projects (10%)
- Assist the Senior Talent Partner with creating ongoing educational content to support the development of hiring competencies for Tides’ leaders
- Assist the Senior Talent Operations Partner with special data analysis projects
- Engage internal teams, including but not limited to People Operations, IT, Finance, or Marketing, to achieve Talent Acquisition team goals
- As needed, contribute to talent sourcing via LinkedIn, review direct applications and use a variety of resources and approaches to source a diverse slate of talent for open positions
- As needed, find opportunities to engage with passive candidates via direct outreach and other strategies
What you will Bring
- Ability to provide rigorous operational and administrative team support
- Ability to manage projects, including effectively taking initiative, managing time and resources so key deliverables are achieved
- Strong listening skills, with the ability to synthesize and document critical information
- Strong written and verbal communication across all media (phone, Zoom, LinkedIn, Slack and email)
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Ability to own processes in pursuit of excellent candidate and interviewer experiences
- Proven track record of delivering on deadlines and executing in a remote and fast-paced environment
- Ability to identify and voice opportunities to make a process more efficient, equitable or data-driven
- Ability to assist with gathering and synthesizing data, including data visualization
Education & Experience
- 3 - 5 years of recruitment coordination experience, or experience in a relevant administrative and operational role
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now, or a similar HRIS (HR Information System) is required
- Proficiency with an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) is strongly preferred
- Proficiency with related recruiting platforms or tools (like LinkedIn) is preferred
- Experience with data analysis & visualization are preferred
- Experience with recruitment marketing is preferred
Compensation
Tides is committed to providing a competitive compensation package. We value pay equity and account for factors such as your location within the U.S., your skills and your relevant experience, and we will not ask for your salary history. Your starting salary will fall into one of three ranges, depending on your location:
- National market: $62,700 - $78,400 (Most U.S. states)
- Moderate market: $68,400 - $85,500 (Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. metro areas)
- High market: $85,000 - $99,400 (New York City & San Francisco metro areas)
